From Boticelli to Burberry
Sometimes I wander through my local Forever 21 (which, conveniently is right outside where I live, in a darling little mall) I see some particularly stand-out pieces, as one would. But, these aren’t just your cute, shiny little oxfords that you’re dying to purchase or that cute black shift dress that could join your wardrobe as a true staple piece.
Sometimes I’ll find a skirt with a floral patter similar to that of a Claude Monet painting. Or, a necklace that reminds me of Picasso’s blue period. Just little random, seemingly art-inspired pieces of clothing.
I’m not good at math. I’ll admit it loud and proud. But there is one equation I can solve without any problem: Art + Fashion = Masterpiece
And I don’t know about you, but I love art. Just walking into a museum is this awesome, interesting excursion for me. So why not express the love of art with the love of fashion? As Ale said in her last article, “Fashion is definitely a form of art.”
So, why not take our favorite pieces of art and make them into something wearable; something beautiful.
Here are just some inspirations for you, taking some inspiration from art:
