A Guide to Spring Cleaning

A Guide to Spring Cleaning

Spring time, the best time. Spring is one of my all time favorite seasons because each time the season rolls around, I can’t help but feel refreshed and new. I adore the fact that I am able to walk around and see all the new plants and flowers. Spring is also a great opportunity to start fresh. The easiest way to start fresh is to do your annual, SPRING CLEANING! I know what you might be thinking, “ew. Cleaning?” But trust me, this could be a fun and beneficial. Today, I’ll be giving you tips on spring cleaning and different types of things you could potentially clean!

Your room: I mean this is an obvious one, right? Dedicate a whole day to cleaning your room. Go through each cabinet and each box. This could be fun; you could end up finding things that you never even knew you had. Try taking down things that were from winter and fall, and start putting up things that are related to spring! Biggest tip I can give you: blast that music, it makes time fly by so fast!

Friendships: Who said spring cleaning only had to do with cleaning your room? This is such an important one. If you are unhappy with the friendships you are in, try moving on. I promise you will feel much more refreshed! Never stay in toxic friendships or even relationships because it will only make your life much more stressful. Try to end things nicely, never harshly. If you’d like to see an article on how to end friendships nicely, give this article a like!

Your phone: Do you have pictures of old homework that you forgot to do? Do you have apps that you haven’t touched in months and you aren’t even sure why you have it? It’s time to clean that crap out. Go through each picture on your phone and ask yourself, “Do I even like this picture? Was I happy when I took this picture? Was it a good memory?” Now clean out your apps and ask yourself, “Will I even use this?” Continue with your notes, text messages, and anything else that could use some cleaning.

Your clothing: I look forward to doing this each season. Time to put away all your winter clothing and start taking out all those fun and bright spring clothing! This is the perfect time to get rid of some clothes that you no longer wear. Try selling them or donating them. Now you have an excuse to start your spring shopping, FUN!

Your mindset: I know what you may be thinking, “Cleaning your mindset?” Yes, you can clean out your mindset. Maybe you had a ruff winter; well here are some tips on how to refresh your beautiful mind with good and positive vibes. Tip #1, look on life in the best way possible. We all have our bad days, but try to make everyday a great day. Tip #2, try going on new adventures. Whether you do this on your own, or with a friend, pick places you’ve never been! Tip #3, Stay away from dark colors (this was so hard for me because I love dark colors), try bright colors and things that help you become happier. Tip #4, wake up each morning with a positive outlook on the day and your life.

I hope you took lots of ideas for your spring cleaning from this article! It’s never too late to clean up a few things in your life. Remember to always stay positive, even when you have a few hardships in your life know that they WILL pass.
